Service
Backloading and part loads
Shared linehaul space for staged consignments, satellite offices and single-room moves.
- From 6 m³ · Minimum part load
- Perth metro and interstate

Why this is its own work package
Not every interstate consignment fills a truck. A satellite office closing, a records archive going east, a staged relocation sending one department ahead of the rest: these are part loads, and paying for a dedicated vehicle is money burned.
Backloading places your consignment in space already committed to a scheduled run. The trade is flexibility: you accept the departure day and a wider delivery window, and you pay meaningfully less per cubic metre.
What is included
Everything below is in the base project price unless the proposal says otherwise.
Volume assessment
We measure the consignment in cubic metres from a photo survey or a site walk, and confirm it before the departure is booked.
Module allocation
Your consignment is loaded into its own numbered module, not loose among other clients' goods.
Scheduled departure
You are given the departure day and the delivery window at booking, in business days.
Barcoded manifest
Same item-level manifest as a full consignment, so nothing depends on memory.
Depot handling at both ends
Uplift to the Osborne Park depot, consolidation, linehaul, then destination depot and final delivery.
Flexible delivery
If your destination is not ready, the module holds at the destination depot on a weekly rate.
How it runs
Measure
Photo survey or site walk to establish cubic metres and any items needing special handling.
Book a departure
Choose from the scheduled runs on your corridor. Southern corridors depart weekly.
Pack and uplift
We pack or you pack. Either way the consignment is barcoded on uplift.
Consolidate and seal
Your module is sealed at the depot and loaded to the next scheduled run.
Linehaul and interchange
Tracking updates at the agreed checkpoints through the crossing.
Delivery
Destination crew deliver against the manifest inside the agreed window.
What drives the price
Commercial work is quoted as a project price, so these are the variables a relocation manager measures on the site survey.
- Cubic metres
- Priced per cubic metre with a 6 m³ minimum. Most single-room office consignments land between 8 and 18 m³.
- Departure day
- Flexibility is the discount. Naming a fixed departure date narrows the options and lifts the rate.
- Delivery window width
- A wider acceptable window means more scheduling options and a lower rate.
- Access at both ends
- Stairs, long carries and restricted docks are charged as handling time at either end.
- Packing
- Owner-packed cartons are cheaper but carry cover consequences. See the cover explainer before deciding.
- Holding time
- Free holding at the destination depot is limited; after that a weekly module rate applies.
All figures quoted across this site are sample placeholders for a demonstration website. A real proposal follows a site survey of both tenancies.
Questions we get asked first
A dedicated truck leaves when you say and carries only your consignment. A backload rides in scheduled space, which means a fixed departure day and a wider delivery window, at a much lower rate per cubic metre.
No. Your consignment is loaded into its own sealed, numbered module. The module shares the vehicle; the goods do not share a space.
6 cubic metres, which is roughly a small satellite office: a few workstations, a compactus bay and some archive cartons.
Up to the seal date, yes, subject to available module space. After the module is sealed the manifest is locked and additions travel on the next departure.
