What the calculator is actually modelling
- Crew hours
- Roughly 8 to 14 minutes of crew time per workstation across dismantle, load, transport, unload and install, multiplied by the access factor.
- Access factor
- A dedicated goods lift with dock access is the baseline. Shared lifts add about 18 per cent, street loading about 34 per cent and a stair carry about 62 per cent.
- Floors
- Each additional floor adds staging, a floor supervisor and a share of vertical transport time.
- Crates
- Two crates per workstation plus shared-area allowance, hired per crate per week over a standard two-week hire.
- IT and comms
- Priced per comms room and rack count, covering audit, decant, transport, re-rack and patch.
- Storage
- Sealed 7 m³ modules, priced per module per week, with handling in and out quoted separately.
About this estimate
No. It is a budgeting estimate built from sample rates on a demonstration website. A quotation follows a site survey of both tenancies and arrives in writing within three business days.
Crew hours are the largest single cost in a commercial relocation, and vertical transport is what governs crew hours. A dedicated goods lift with dock access can be twice as fast per workstation as a shared passenger lift.
Because commercial relocations are assumed to run after hours. Most Perth buildings will not release a dock or goods lift for removals during business hours, so it is in the base rate, not added at the end.
Storage, make good on the old tenancy, specialist items such as safes and laboratory equipment, vendor technician attendance, and structured cabling at the new site. Each is quoted as its own scope.
