Planning and timing

Eight to twelve weeks for anything above 50 workstations. The binding constraint is rarely our calendar: it is carrier lead times, building manager approvals and fitout practical completion. Enterprise Ethernet alone commonly runs 20 to 40 business days from order.
Not always, but usually. Most Perth buildings restrict dock and goods lift access for removals to after hours, and a Friday evening start gives two clear days for install and testing before staff return. Tenancies under about 20 workstations can often move mid-week.
For a single floor under 100 workstations with a dedicated goods lift, Friday 5:00 pm to Monday 7:30 am is comfortable. Multi-floor programs, restricted dock slots or an unfinished comms room push that out, and we would rather stage it across several nights than compress it.
We stage the consignment into sealed 7 cubic metre storage modules at the Osborne Park depot and re-deliver on practical completion. Because storage is quoted per module per week from the start, a fitout delay does not become a surprise variation.
Your relocation manager does, at both ends. That covers dock bookings, goods lift allocations, after-hours access forms, crew name lists, lift protection and certificates of currency. You are copied on all of it.
Cover, liability and risk

No, and this is the most common misunderstanding in the industry. Carrier's liability covers proven negligence up to a contract cap and nothing more. If you want individual items covered for accidental damage, you need full replacement value cover, declared before the move.
Transit cover protects your goods. Public liability protects third parties and the building: lift linings, lobby floors, glazing, and injury to people who are not our employees. Your building manager wants a certificate of currency for the second one; it does nothing for the first.
PBO means packed by owner. If you pack a carton and the contents break with no external damage to the carton, most policies will not pay, because the packing itself is the likely cause. Anything valuable or fragile should be packed by our packers or declared separately.
Restricted transit cover typically carries a $500 to $1,000 excess per claim and full replacement value typically $250 to $500, with a nil-excess option on a declared high-value schedule. These are sample bands for this demo site; the policy schedule attached to your quotation is what governs.
No. AFRA accreditation means our vehicles, equipment, depot and crew training are audited and that we are bound by the association's code of conduct with a dispute resolution path. It is a floor on conduct and equipment. It does not insure a single item you own.
IT, comms and equipment

No. We own the physical move: rack audit, decant, transport, re-rack and patch to an agreed schedule. Your IT team or managed service provider owns configuration and the logical cutover. Splitting it this way means nobody is guessing who is responsible at 2:00 am.
In foam-lined anti-static crates, one device per cell, inside a pantech with air-ride suspension, on a direct run with no other consignment on board. Full racks travel upright and strapped to the vehicle wall. Racks never travel on their side.
We run a written readiness check covering rack space, power, cooling, floor loading, cable pathway and access before the shutdown date is confirmed. If the room fails, you get it in writing with options, rather than a crew standing in a room with no cooling on a Saturday.
Yes, with the manufacturer's technician handling decommissioning and recommissioning where warranties require it, and shock or tilt indicators fitted where specified. We coordinate the technicians into the runsheet. We do not break a manufacturer's seal.
Records, storage and archiving

Cartons are barcoded and sealed in your file room, not at our depot, and scanned by two people against your inventory. Every movement, retrieval and destruction is logged with a time, a barcode and the named person who authorised it.
Next business day is standard. For Perth metro, a request logged before 11:00 am can usually be delivered the same day for an urgent retrieval fee.
That depends on the record type and the legislation that applies to your organisation, and some series run seven years or longer. We are removalists, not record-keeping advisers. You set the retention dates, we build them into the inventory and prompt you before anything expires.
Furniture is priced per sealed 7 cubic metre module per week. Archive cartons are priced per carton per month against a minimum monthly charge. Handling in and out is a separate, quoted line so it is visible rather than buried.
Pricing and the quote

Perth metro work is quoted as a project price built from crew hours, vehicles, crates, access constraints and any specialist items. Interstate work is quoted per cubic metre against a minimum consignment. We do not quote commercial work by the hour, because an hourly rate transfers all the planning risk to you.
No. Commercial relocations are assumed to run after hours or over a weekend, so that is built into the base project price rather than added as a surcharge at the end.
Three things, in order: a comms room or fitout that is not ready, a volume that grew after the survey, and a building access condition that appeared after quoting. The first two are why we survey on site and re-confirm the crate schedule in pack week.
Yes. The relocation cost calculator gives a sample band from workstation count, floors, lift access and after-hours loading. It is an estimate for budgeting, not a quotation. Every real quote follows a site walk of both tenancies.
Yes, as a separate scope: strip-out of non-base-building fitout, patch and paint, floor covering reinstatement, and the handover clean your lease requires. It is quoted separately so the two budgets do not blur together.
